RE: Power Steering Pump Fluid Location?

chasfm11,
Thanks for response.
Yeah - if previous owner did not change fluid, it is way overdue.
I have a side radiator and Freightliner manual says reservior (sp?) is for both fan control and power steering.
I plan to stop at a Freightliner dealer tomorrow and have it checked and most likely have it changed. Apparently, there is also a filter involved.

Power Steering Pump Fluid Location?

Have a 2004 Fleetwood Revolution 40C with Cummins 350HP engine and Frightliner chassis.
Strange noise from steering column when making slow turn or turning wheel while stationary. Sounds like a "gugling" (sp?) noise.
Anybody know where the power steering tank might be on this motor home? Front compartment where gen set is? Rear engine compartment? Big tank with what looks like hydraulic fluid?
Call Fleetwood but customer service is closed for the day.
Cummmins? or Freightliner?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

RE: BrakeBuddy and Saturn Ion

I use a battery cut-off switch to kill all power from the battery when towing my Dodge Dakota to avoid running up miles on the odometer.
I hard wired a 12 volt outlet with an in line fuse for a circuit just for the Brake Buddy.

RE: Indianapolis 500 Package for RV'ers

We attended this year with the Camping World deal.
It was fine. Very organized and fair price.
Dry camping - ran gen when needed. They had a guy providing pump out and water at fair price.

RE: What causes fires in a MH?

After listening to his seminar at the Freightliner Chassis Owners Club Rally a few weeks ago, I bought and installed an engine fire suppression system from "Mac-the Fire Guy". I mounted it above the engine on a panel accessible from the bedroom.
Having been a boater for many years which such a system in my engine room, this made a lot of sense to me.
You can Goggle Mac the Fire Guy to get info.
No connection other than as a customer.

RE: camping near Indianopolis

Pot holes -
We were there last week. Not many potholes in road and those that were there were not too deep.
Just obey the 6.5 mph speed limit signs - unfortunately many don't.

RE: toilet leaking

For a Sealand, we found a specific seal kit at Camping World. About 1/2 hour job to replace. I tried all the other suggestions and none worked.

RE: Streets & Trips - Find Nearby Places - PROBLEM

I have the 2007 version and had the same problem as the OP.
Here's how I solved it:
Find a "Driving Instruction" in Route Planner that is closest to the point for which you are searching. Then right click. This now gives you the option to search in a specified radius of that driving instruction.
Somebody may have found a better way. It makes sense that it ought to work the way the OP is doing it.

RE: Tire Prices

In early June, we bought six new Michelin 275/80 22.5 ZXA3's.
$500 each mounted and balanced at Zolman Tire near Elkhart, IN.

RE: Fleetwood Revolution diesel

Purchased our 2004 40C in April 07 and put about 40,000 additional miles on it - now 79,000.
Great coach, minimum issues.

RE: How to keep you dog from barking at CG's?

We use the outside gate for our two Chihauhau Mixes - actually three of them hooked together.
Re barking - the little one is a barker (all 5 lbs of her).
We got a kid's water pistol. Used it just a couple of times. Now, just showing it her stops the barking immediately.
Worth a try?

RE: Turn Signal Switch- Problem- Erractic Operation

Problem fixed, I think.
Found the flasher in the outside compartment under the driver seat.
Small red box with lot of numbers and marked "Made in China"!!!!!) - separate one for the emergency flasher on this Freightliner chassis.
Pressed connectors and now it works!!
Will pick up spare if I can find one at local auto parks store.
Thanks, again. for your suggestions. It seems definitely to be the flasher box.

RE: Turn Signal Switch- Problem- Erractic Operation

trxcr,
Could be.
Anybody know if the turn signal flasher on a freightliner is the same as the one for the emergency blinkers. If so, not the flasher as the emergency blinkers work fine.
Also, anybody know where the flasher is located? I can probably find it by listening for the click when we stop and I can get the turn signal working for a little bit.

Turn Signal Switch- Problem- Erractic Operation

We are enroute to the FMCA Rally in ST Paul and then on to the Freightliner Chassis Owners Rally in IL.
Yesterday the turn signal switch started operating erratically.
The emergency blinker switch works without a problem. Since it works sometimes, both left and right, it is not a fuse.
Tried spraying from outside with electrical contact cleaner - no effect.
I will try to get access and look for loose connection when we stop at the Rally. If not, try to find a Freightliner dealer or wait until to get to the Rally in IL and ask the Freightliner guys.
In the meantime, hate to be driving without operating turn signals.
Anybody have any additional ideas?
Thanks.

RE: Ruined 3 Flying J Pumps Today

Next time try:
First the credit card.
Then the "loyalty card" when the display asks for it.
Found out the hard way this is the way it works at both the RV pumps and the truck pumps at least in Texas and Oklahoma.
